The brief

A calm brand that needs a calm site

Kazehikaru is a premium Japanese beauty and wellness salon in Singapore, with two outlets in the Orchard Road area, offering non-invasive facial and body treatments. The brand philosophy is "less is more": a calm, pared-back experience rather than a long treatment menu.

The site had to feel serene and premium, match the spring and cherry-blossom identity, present a short curated treatment list, make both locations and the opening hours easy to find, and route visitors to booking, by form or WhatsApp.

What I did

Match the identity, keep it short, make booking easy.

  • Elementor build matching the spring and cherry-blossom identity, soft and pared back to fit the "less is more" brand
  • A short, curated services carousel: RF facial skin rejuvenation, wellness massage, Japanese-inspired facials
  • Both Orchard-area outlets laid out with addresses and the nearby landmarks
  • Booking routed through a "Book Now" button and a WhatsApp contact, with the phone numbers in the footer
  • Opening hours for weekdays, Saturday and Sunday stated plainly
  • LocalBusiness and FAQ schema for two locations, plus metadata and Open Graph
Speed proof

A strong 94 on desktop, held back on mobile by the hero art.

Desktop is where I want it

Desktop Performance is 94, with Best Practices and SEO both at 100. First Contentful Paint is 0.4 s, Speed Index 1.2 s, blocking time 70 ms and layout shift 0.036.

Straight talk: mobile Performance is 61. Blocking time and layout shift are green, 140 ms and 0.024, so scripts and stability are fine. The cost is the decorative cherry-blossom hero graphic, which is the Largest Contentful Paint element and takes 14.4 s to paint on a throttled mobile connection. A compressed, properly sized mobile version of that art is the fix.

Outcome

What it does now

The site carries the calm, premium feel, presents a short treatment list, makes both outlets and the hours easy to find, and routes visitors to booking. Desktop is a strong 94. The single decorative hero image is what stands between mobile and the same result.
